To further study, implement, and act upon the spirit of the 2025 National Two Sessions (NPC & CPPCC) and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and to comprehensively enhance the research capabilities and academic literacy of the faculty and students, on the morning of April 20, the School of Marxism at Harbin Institute of Technology had the honor of inviting Professor Du Yuhua from the School of Marxism at Shanghai Jiao Tong University to deliver a special lecture titled The Dialectical Relationship between Reform and Opening-up and Chinese Modernization in Mingde Building, Room E705. The lecture was chaired by Professor Gao Xianzhong, Dean of the School of Marxism at Harbin Institute of Technology.
The lecture was rich in content and logically rigorous. With her profound academic expertise and engaging presentation style, Professor Du Yuhua made complex theoretical issues accessible and easy to understand, providing the attending faculty and students with a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the dialectical relationship between reform and opening-up and Chinese modernization. She also offered new perspectives and ideas for the study and research of Marxist theory. Looking ahead, the School of Marxism at Harbin Institute of Technology will continue to forge the soul with the Party's innovative theories, gather strong momentum for reform and development, and foster a healthy ecosystem that integrates theoretical learning with practical application. Taking this lecture as an opportunity, the School will further strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation, continuously improve the research capabilities and academic standards of its faculty and students, and, with a strong sense of responsibility, mission, and urgency, strive to cultivate more talents who are capable of assuming great responsibilities and playing important roles, while contributing greater efforts to advancing the research and practical development of Marxist theory.
