On the morning of June 20, Professor Li Chuanjiang from the School of Astronautics at Harbin Institute of Technology delivered a lecture titled The Past, Present, and Future of China's Space Program for the 19th Small Satellite Scholar Program Exchange Camp.
Li Chuanjiang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology. He is primarily engaged in teaching and research in areas such as spacecraft control. He has delivered over 200 popular science lectures at renowned key high schools across the country, reaching hundreds of thousands of students. His work has been reported by authoritative media outlets including CCTV, China News Network, and China Youth Daily.
Professor Li Chuanjiang, using various formats such as sharing his own research experiences, screening space documentary videos, and conducting interviews with scientists, presented a compelling and accessible popular science lecture to 32 students from universities in Macau. The lecture covered six major areas: the development of artificial satellites, human spaceflight projects, lunar exploration, Mars exploration, the spirit of China's space program, and the future of China's space endeavors. Professor Li particularly highlighted the outstanding contributions of Harbin Institute of Technology to China's Tianwen-1 Mars mission. He pointed out that, from Chang'e lunar exploration to Tianwen Mars exploration, HIT personnel have never been absent from the pursuit of space dreams, continuously supporting the construction of a strong space nation through their solid technical expertise and steadfast dedication.
The lecture was met with frequent applause and a lively atmosphere of exchange. During the interactive Q&A session, the students took meticulous notes and successfully answered various challenging questions posed by Professor Li. After the lecture, Professor Li presented books to the attending students, who eagerly sought photos with him and asked for his autographs as souvenirs.
