In response to the national call for strengthening mental health education among students and addressing the psychological pressures and growth-related challenges faced by graduate students in academics, research, and career planning, the 2025 cohort of master’s students from the School of Marxism at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) held a thematic psychological class meeting on December 7, 2025.

The meeting featured an interactive game called “Value Ranking.” Students wrote down their three most cherished life values on postcards and shared them with peers. Through discussion, they came to a deeper understanding that different value orientations correspond to different life rhythms and development paths.

The meeting also included case analyses of two typical scenarios: “excessive involution leading to burnout” and “blindly lying flat causing anxiety.” Through group discussions, students gradually developed a sustainable vision of hard work that rejects a binary, either-or mindset and advocates a balanced approach of “moderate effort plus reasonable rest.” They learned to embrace “imperfect progress” while exploring personalized paths to balance.

The successful organization of this thematic psychological class meeting is not only an important practice for the School of Marxism in implementing the “Three-All Education” concept (all-staff, all-process, all-round education) and strengthening humanistic care and psychological guidance for graduate students, but also helped build a positive and healthy psychological defense line for the students. It enhanced class cohesion and equipped students with a more rational, calm, and resilient mindset to face future academic research and life challenges — truly enabling them to pursue their own “sunny sky.”
